Abdullahi Muse
Himalaya Academy was founded by Abdullahi Muse to give students in Jowhar and the wider Middle Shabelle region a serious place to study science and technology close to home.
The name points to the highest mountains on earth: a reminder that every student here is expected to aim high, and that the climb is taken one step at a time.
Practical science
Concepts are tied to experiments, worked problems and real examples from farming, health and daily life in Hirshabelle.
Hands on keyboards
IT students spend class time at a computer, building documents, spreadsheets and simple programs themselves.
Registered properly
Every student is recorded with their Ministry of Education HEMIS ID, so records follow them through school and exams.
Open to all
Girls and boys, school leavers and working adults are all welcome in our classes.
